Spain 2-3 England: Raheem Sterling scores twice in staggering triumph

Raheem Sterling finished a three-year global objective dry season with a twofold as England recorded a popular 3-2 UEFA Nations League triumph over Spain in Seville.

Sterling rifled England into the lead on 16 minutes - his first universal objective since October 2015 - and adjusted off a staggering first-half showcase with an additional seven minutes previously half-time.

Marcus Rashford's 6th universal objective was sandwiched in the middle of Sterling's two strikes as the Manchester United forward made amends for his combine of botched opportunities in Croatia on style.

Spain pulled an objective back through substitute Paco Alcacer on 57 minutes and got again through Sergio Ramos with the last dash of the match, however an unfaltering guarded showcase anchored England's first triumph in Spain since 1987.

Exuberant rain absorbed Seville the development to commence yet the regularly English conditions were not ideal to the guests, who were lucky not to yield in a rankling opening five-minute spell from Spain.

Two corners one after another almost yielded the early objective the baying home group needed as a close post flick discovered Chelsea safeguard Marcos Alonso at the back post, yet Jordan Pickford was available with a sprawling recovery from point-clear range.

Britain weathered that early tempest, however, and led the pack on 16 minutes as Rashford's sharp pass discharged Sterling, who rifled his first universal objective on remote soil into the best corner of David de Gea's objective.

Marco Asensio bursted a shot over as Spain searched for a prompt reaction, yet their edginess to reestablish equality demonstrated their demise as England got their second on the counter just before the half-hour check.

On getting a long go from Pickford, Harry Kane shrewdly held up play before playing Rashford through on objective, and the forward, not at all like in Croatia, kept his self-control to opening home past his Manchester United partner De Gea.

Two ended up three on 38 minutes as Ross Barkley lobbed a magnificent ball over the best for Kane, who unselfishly squared for Sterling to change over as Spain surrendered three objectives in a home focused counterpart for the plain first time.
